Bio

Tony Rouphael is a marine ecologist with over fifteen years experience in tropical marine experimental investigations, baseline surveys, social surveys, community consultation, monitoring programs and management. He received a BA from Edith Cowan University, Western Australia, and a MSc. and Ph. D. from James Cook University, Queensland Australia. He has worked extensively on tropical marine biota in Western Australia, Queensland, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Italy, Spain, Qatar, Lebanon and Mauritius. He particular enjoys working in the Red Sea and working with Indigenous people on marine resource management issues.
