Bio
Laila Van Cleve is an education intern at the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation. She is finishing her senior year in the College of Earth, Ocean, and the Environment at University of Delaware, where she is studying marine science with a concentration in marine biology. As a lifelong sailor and scuba diver, she fell in love with the water and marine life at a very young age. After completing a 2017 internship at the National Aquarium’s Education Department, she decided that she wanted to pursue a career in environmental education with a focus on conservation. She hopes to gain a better understanding of the field of marine environmental education during her time at the Living Oceans Foundation. After graduation, Laila plans to attend graduate school in the field of environmental education or marine conservation.
