World Technology welcomes Living Oceans Foundation to elevate global ocean awareness

This alliance will raise awareness of ocean conservation by expanding the reach of the Foundations educational content through the World Technology global platform.

NEW YORK, April 22, 2025 World Technology, a global platform with a mission to celebrate human ingenuity through technology, science and innovation, welcomes the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the worlds oceans through science, outreach, and education.

This partnership marks a vital step in connecting ocean science with global audiences, as World Technology will leverage its channels and platforms to amplify the Foundations award-winning educational resources and conservation initiatives. Together, the two organizations are committed to raising awareness of critical ocean issues — including climate change, overfishing, and pollution — and fostering a deeper understanding of coral reef ecosystems through technology and storytelling.

We are honored to welcome the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation as it works to preserve, protect, and restore the world’s oceans and aquatic resources through research, education, and outreach with science-based solutions,” said Paul J. Foster, Executive Chairman of World Technology. Through this collaboration, we are excited to spotlight their impactful content and bring their message of ocean stewardship to a global, scientific & tech-savvy audience.”

Established in 2000 under the leadership of HRH Prince Khaled bin Sultan, the Foundation is renowned for pioneering coral reef research and conservation, including the Global Reef Expedition—the largest coral reef survey and habitat mapping mission in history. World Technology will actively promote the Foundations interactive education portal, engaging curriculum, and conservation films across its platforms to connect with students, educators, and science enthusiasts worldwide.

At the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation, we are committed to advancing ocean literacy and inspiring the next generation of marine stewards. By partnering with World Technology Games to share our educational and award-winning films online, we have an incredible opportunity to reach a broader audience and raise awareness about the critical issues facing our coral reefs. We hope this collaboration not only highlights the beauty and importance of these ecosystems, but also encourages more people—especially students and educators—to explore our Coral Reef Ecology Curriculum, and take action to protect our ocean,” said Alexandra Dempsey, CEO of the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation.

World Technology and the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation are united in their commitment to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), particularly those focused on life below water and quality education. World Oceans Day: Protecting the Ecosystems That Protect Us

This World Oceans Day, the global community is being challenged to think differently about the ocean.

The 2026 World Oceans Day theme, “Reimagine: Beyond the World We Know, A New Relationship With Our Ocean,” invites us to recognize that the ocean is not something distant or separate from our lives. It regulates our climate, supports our economies, provides food for billions of people, and sustains the natural systems that make life on Earth possible.

Few places illustrate this connection more clearly than the coastal ecosystems that protect our shores and support marine life. While coral reefs, mangrove forests, and seagrass meadows are often…
