Introducing Our New Website: A Fresh Look for the Foundation’s Future

As we celebrate the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation’s 25th anniversary, we are proud to unveil our newly redesigned website—a modern home for our science, conservation work, and educational programs. This launch marks an important moment for the Foundation as we honor our long history and look toward the future of ocean conservation.

For more than two decades, the Foundation has worked tirelessly to improve the health of our living oceans. We have advanced ocean science, led one of the largest coral reef research missions in history, restored mangrove forests with local communities, created award-winning education programs, and shared the wonders of the ocean with people around the world. Our new website reflects the organization we are today—focused on conserving coral reefs, restoring mangrove forests, and improving ocean literacy—while still highlighting the legacy of work that brought us here.

A Modern Website to Support Our Mission

The redesigned site features a clean, contemporary look and a vastly improved experience across all devices. Whether viewed on a computer, tablet, or mobile phone, the new site is fast, responsive, and easy to navigate. Its simplified structure helps visitors quickly understand who we are, what we do, and how they can connect with our work.

Explore, Learn, and Get Involved

One of the most exciting features of the new website is the expanded Learn section, designed to support students, teachers, and lifelong learners. Here, visitors will find:

These resources remain free to educators and students worldwide, continuing our long-standing commitment to improving ocean literacy.

The site also offers clear ways for individuals and organizations to support our work. Our updated donation platform makes it easier than ever to contribute directly to the Foundation’s work, including the option to direct gifts to specific conservation or education projects.

Honoring Our Past, Preparing for the Future

The new website highlights the work we are doing today while making our 25-year history of accomplishments and scientific discovery more accessible than ever. Visitors can explore archived expedition logs, project reports, scientific publications, and stories from the Global Reef Expedition, ensuring that our past remains available and informative.

At the same time, this launch is only the beginning. Over the coming months, we will continue refining the site, improving functionality, updating existing materials, and building out new content that reflects our current and future work. Next year, we plan to upgrade our Education Portal, which continues to provide a rich collection of lesson plans, activities, and classroom resources used by teachers around the world.
