    • Our Coral Reef Ecology Curriculum is a great resource for students and teachers. Filled with lesson plans, videos, and interactive learning exercises, our education portal engages and inspires students to learn about coral reefs and to become stewards of this vital ecosystem.

    • The application period for the 2025 Science Without Borders® Challenge is now closed. This annual art contest encourages students to learn about important ocean science and conservation issues through art. The competition is open to middle and high school students 11-19 years old, with prizes of up to $500 awarded to the winning entries.

    Today in Montego Bay, Jamaica, our Chief Operating Officer and Director of Education, Amy Heemsoth, is representing the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation at the Blue Economy Forum: TIME FOR PEACE – For Future Generations, hosted onboard the Peace Boat.Amy is sharing insights from our Jamaican Awareness of Mangroves in Nature (J.A.M.I.N.) program, which empowers students to protect and restore vital mangrove ecosystems. This unique experiential learning program takes place aboard Peace Boat’s 120th Global Voyage, traveling from Jamaica through the Panama Canal.Amy will teach participating students about marine life in the Caribbean and inspire them to take action to protect our ocean.
