Bio

Daniel Green is a science technician for The Nature Conservancy in the US Virgin Islands. Working for The Nature Conservancy for a year and a half, Daniel is the lead coral restoration technician in St. Thomas, responsible for organizing and implementing coral restoration activities, including establishing and maintaining coral nurseries and other ancillary activities, such as reef clean-ups and boat grounding monitoring. Just prior to joining the Conservancy, Daniel received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Marine Biology from California State University, Northridge. As a student, Daniel spent five consecutive field seasons in St. John, USVI researching the ecophysiology and recruitment dynamics of stony corals in shallow reef environments.
